Splice Events Place and Restaurant, located at Unit 16-18 of The Portal in the Greenfield District, is making a name for itself as one of Mandaluyong’s go-to places for holding hip and happening events in the area. You can hold events such as PR launches, company functions, baptisms, spoken word events, trivia fight night with friends, and anything to your heart’s content in this little slice of heaven for any venue scouter or just anyone looking for a good place to hang-out and eat.
But everyone knows that no great event can be held without great food around and Splice knows that well. Another great thing about Splice, aside from the affordability of renting out the venue, is that they offer such a cozy and spacious place for events with an array of food that matches its atmosphere. Their menu is popular for offering a fusion of unique yet homey comfort food at an affordable price range, making sure that you enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the events without having you worry over breaking the bank.
Chef Benjo Tuason, also known for his wonderful work at Sobremesa, has not slacked off in curating Splice’s primarily Filipino-European menu especially when you consider the portions and the affordability, not to mention the great taste as well. They offer Starters or Bar Chow which include their Nachos, various soups and salads, and chicken wings to get your appetite going. I find that their Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad is nice and refreshing, and it’s important to note too that they’re not stingy with their portions as chunks of grilled chicken and egg enveloped in crisp, fresh lettuce is there to welcome you.
Aside from their Starters, I personally found their pastas something that I can come back to again and again. Their Puttanesca (P200) as well as their Sundried Tomato and Creamy Pesto (P220) are personal favorites of mine which I’m glad to see is people-approved seeing as it is listed as one of the crowd favorites in the menu.
Splice’s menu also offers Sizzlers which is served with your choice of rice or mashed potato on the side as well as mixed buttered vegetables, too. The prices of the Sizzlers range from P200 to P350, and with the portions they offer, it is a guarantee that these will fill you right up. Their options include food items like Grilled Chicken Fillet with Teriyaki Sauce (P220), Beef Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Gravy (P240), Splice Sisig with Egg (P220), and Bangus Ala Pobre (P200). What I’d recommend as a side would be a good helping of their Java Rice. It is a perfect partner for these savory dishes and will leave you pleasantly full for the night.
If you’re not planning on holding an event, Splice is still a great place to go to, just for their food and environment alone. Sometimes, Splice holds an acoustic night where they get a series of acoustic acts to serenade customers as they munch away. Splice also offers a Frequency card promo where every eighth order of a Sizzler is free of charge. If you want to hang-out with friends and arrange a get-together, Splice has a great offer for these Barkada nights. They offer unlimited cocktails per order of pre-selected Sizzlers.
Whether you’re a professional looking for the next great venue for a company event or you’re arranging hang-outs with friends or you’re simply looking for good food, great atmosphere, and affordable prices, Splice Events Place & Restaurant might just be the place you’re looking for.
