Be it a chicken, pork or beef, preparing a roasted meat may be tedious and may require you to spend long hours in order for you to have that tender and juicy meat. So, I’d like to share with you a new place I’ve discovered. This restaurant is where you can bring your family and friends to hang out and enjoy a mouthwatering roasted meat dish.
Roadster Roasters is a recently opened restaurant in TV 5 Complex located at Sheridan corner Reliance Street, Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City. They offer off-the-bone meat dishes at a reasonable price. Here, an average spending for two persons is only around P800.
Roadster Roasters was first conceptualized as a roving food truck. Today, it is a brick and mortar restaurant with an industrial theme fused with wood, brick and metal elements. They also added few automobile elements to which the Roadster can be associated with.
I’ve mentioned earlier that Roadster Roasters offers off-the-bone meat dishes, both figuratively speaking and literally. On their menu for the main course, you can find Texas-Style Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket, Roast Chicken, Roast Pork Belly, and Barbecue Pork Ribs. They only differ with the cooking preparation. But, all are cooked tenderly and can be partnered with different sauces. Find out more about my food experience below.
So, I ordered their Barbeque Pork Ribs and Texas-Style Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket for my main course. The beef brisket was slow-cooked and thinly sliced. It was seasoned with their signature blend of spices. I liked its flavor and tenderness. But I loved most is their sweet and spicy mango chutney sauce. I ordered the sauce for P35 while the 300-gram Beef Brisket cost P300.
Their Barbeque Pork Ribs was also slow-cooked and served well-done that the meat falls off the bone easily. It comes with sweet and tangy sauce. For a barkada of 6, you can get a half-rack of this for P760.
For their Smoked Carbonara, they used linguine combined with well-seasoned cream. It also has poached egg in the middle. To add that smoky flavor, they botched it. This sort of remove that umay factor when eating usual carbonara. You can get this creamy carbonara with the twist for only P210.
All their regular side dish cost P65 each. You can try Hand-cut Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Mashed Sweet Potato, Buttered Vegetables or Asian Slaw.
They also have premium side dishes which include Twice-baked Potato and Smoked Corn. Both cost P90. Another premium side dish is cold potato salad, which cost P120. I tried their smoked corn, but it was quite hard and taste bland.
Currently, they offer promo where for every bucket of beer you purchase, you can get a plate of chicken skin for one peso only. One bucket has 5 beers which may cost around P300. I guess not a bad deal at all.
To wrap everything up, I can say I had a good dining experience at Roadster Roasters. I liked the place since it has a good ambiance. Definitely a place for the barkadas. If you’re hungry for smoky flavored dishes, this is the go-to place. For their smoked corn dish, they might need to look at it again. Otherwise, everything is good and off the bone.
