Joey Pepperoni aims to show a modern Italian-American flavors at a fair price. And, Joey Pepperoni does not fail in delighting the Filipinos with these flavors. In fact, Joey Pepperoni has already been in the Philippines for so many years now.
In this article, I’d like to share my dining experience at the branch of Joey Pepperoni situated at RFM Corporate Center, Pioneer Street, Highway Hills, Mandaluyong. It only underwent renovation to give us a new industrial and minimalist interior design.
On their usual menu, you can choose from eight pizza flavors. They have Margarita, Pepperoni, Joey’s Supreme, Bianca, Aloha, Meaty Legend, Four Cheese and Chicken Barbecue Pizza.
I ordered Chicken Barbecue Pizza and Four Cheese. Their Four Cheese has Mozzarella, White Cheese, Parmesan and Cheddar with Tomato Sauce. This one is my favorite. It was super good. And, those who love cheese should definitely try this. An 8-inch of this pizza cost P180 and a 120-inch of this pizza cost P370.
Their Chicken Barbecue Pizza has mozzarella, grilled chicken, barbecue sauce, red onion, cilantro and tomato sauce. So, it’s sweet and savory. It has the same price as the Four Cheese. When comparing their taste, I liked the Four Cheese better.
Joey Pepperoni has dessert pizza. Basically, it is a bed of sliced banana generously poured with Nutella. The amount of Nutella serving is just right the way I want it. This dessert on 8-inch pizza dough cost only P140.
Another dessert at Joey Pepperoni was the Fudge brownie. It has a scoop of ice cream on top with grated chocolate and chocolate syrup. Your chocolate indulgence may cost only P125 per serving.
As my meat main dish, I ordered grilled pork chop. The tenderly cooked pork chop has sweet and savory barbecue sauce. It was also perfectly served with parsley rice and garlic mushroom. The price for this meat main dish is P215.
I ordered Barbecue Wings for my appetizer. It is chicken wings drenched with savory spices. There’s no need to ask for a dip. It’s already good as it is.
On their menu for pasta, I tried their Grilled Chicken Alfredo. It is a penne pasta with cream-based Alfredo sauce, tomatoes, garlic, onion, shiitake mushroom and grilled chicken. My verdict for this dish is that it has weak flavor. I liked the fresh tomatoes in it, but I think it would have been better if they added more of it to the dish. I guess the tenderly cooked grilled chicken saved the dish. You can buy this for P225. For the same price, you can also get their Spaghetti and Meatballs. Also on their usual menu of pasta are Pomodoro, Aglio Olio, Carbonara, and Pesto that can all purchased at different prices.
Currently, they offer set of meals which are good for five to six persons or for solo. For the solo, the first set meal has mixed greens, soup, chicken wings or fingers plus iced tea. This first set cost only P190. If you want to add pasta for this solo meal, it will cost P220. Then, add P30 for an additional solo pizza to this set meal.
For set A group meal, you can already get 6 pieces of their garlic chicken, a platter of rice, a pitcher of iced tea, one 12-inches pizza and 8-inch banana Nutella. All for P 999. If you prefer to have pasta, you can choose set B group meal. This is almost similar to set A group meal, but with an additional two platters of pasta. This is good for six persons and cost P1,200.
