Where to stay in Tbilisi: G.Vino City Wine Hotel

In the historic sector of Old Town Tbilisi, Georgia, I was lucky enough to stay at the beautiful g.Vino City Wine Hotel. The owners own a popular wine bar of the same name in Tbilisi and it is interesting that they carried the name over to their 4-star boutique hotel as well. The word “g.Vino” in Georgian actually means wine. It is probably the most important Georgian word you’ll learn since Georgia is, after all, believed to be the place of origin in wine making. And truly, the hotel boasts of an unforgettable Georgian experience with its wine and culture.

Here are my top 10 reasons to stay at G.Vino City Wine Hotel:

1.Amazing interiors

The g.Vino City Wine Hotel is one of the old picturesque buildings along its street. But step inside its front doors and you are sure to be amazed by the modern decor mixed with the traditional architecture of the building. The inside is newly renovated and the hotel just opened its doors this 2019.

2.Big and spacious rooms

I was able to stay in two types of rooms: the Standard Double Room and the Double Room. They had high ceilings, which lent a breathable and spacious atmosphere. The rooms were decorated in relaxing pastel hues with pops of vibrant colors. Both were air-conditioned and furnished with king-sized beds, a wardrobe, a desk, an armchair, a TV set, and a private bathroom. There were also complimentary toiletries, bottled water, and coffee.

3.Friendly staff

The hotel staffs were always smiling and eager to help in any of my questions during my visit. Their reception area was manned around the clock for whatever the guests need. Their staff spoke English too, which was extra convenient.

4.Free and reliable Wi-Fi

Throughout the hotel, you’ll have free and reliable Wi-Fi whether in your room or in the shared areas. Perfect for those must-share instagrammable interiors in each room.

5.Food and breakfast area

I enjoyed sitting in the patio every morning to eat my breakfast. They offered many delicious options in the breakfast menu. I loved their eggs benedict and the egg with leeks. I also had a cappuccino in the little garden area, which was a relaxing way to start each morning.

6.Good wine

One thing you cannot miss when you stay in the g.Vino City Wine Hotel is the good Georgian natural wines at their wine bar. They have so many wines available for you. But don’t be overwhelmed, because they can help you select the perfect wine for your tastes. You can learn about the local winemaking there while you’re having a sip at the bar too!

7.Quiet neighborhood

Although the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood in a less touristy part of town, it still offers a certain charm with its pretty Georgian architecture. There is no busy feel of a tourist place, which is ideal in a vacation getaway.

8.Near a Metro

Marjanishvili Metro

The Marjanishvili Metro station is merely a walking distance away from the hotel. The subway can bring you to a number of historical attractions such as Rustaveli Avenue and Old Tbilisi.

9.Reasonable distance to town

From the cozy secluded street of the hotel, it costs only 4-6 GEL (Georgian currency) on the Metro to travel to town. My favorite restaurant along Marjanishvilli St. is also just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

10.Pet-friendly

G.Vino City Wine Hotel welcomes pets as well. There’s really no need to leave your pet at home when you fly to Georgia. Your little friend can also enjoy the high-quality service that the hotel provides.

So when you’re in Georgia, be sure to book a room at g.Vino City Wine Hotel. You’ll definitely get a unique and warm experience of Georgian culture. You’ll be impressed by their authentic hospitality, beautiful interior designs, vintage architecture, and fresh flavors.
